One of the Hamptons most cherished sanctuaries of well-being is coming to Manhattan. For more than a decade, Naturopathica’s East Hampton Healing Arts Center & Spa has provided weekend warriors and weary commuters with a full-service spa and wellness center.

Opening on December 7th, 2015 (with previews commencing on 20 November), Naturopathica Chelsea Healing Arts Center & Spa is an urban destination dedicated to 21st-century wellness. “Our goal is to encourage individuals to make wellness part of their everyday life and to experience the pleasure of healthy living,” said Barbara Close, founder and CEO of Naturopathica.

With a focus on personal transformation and a holistic approach to well-being, the full-service Chelsea spa offers six treatment rooms, as well as a Vitality Bar, a Remedy Bar and a Sensory and Meditation Lounge.

Guests at Naturopathica Chelsea can experience the healing benefits of house-made herbal tonics, elixirs, teas, cold-pressed juices and kombucha on tap. Grab-and-go snacks are made with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.

At the center’s Remedy Bar, an herbal dispensary offers teas, herbs, tinctures, and essential oils. Hand-selected loose leaf teas are sourced throughout the world, including Assam, Taiwan, the Fujian Province of China and the Shizuoka Province of Western Japan. Along with handcrafted teas, the bar has premium botanical bulk herbs, herbal tinctures (liquid extracts), and essential oils.

Naturopathica Chelsea estheticians and therapists are highly-trained professionals who work with clients to customize treatments, and offer at-home rituals that nourish the mind, body and spirit.

A lifelong practitioner of the healing arts, Close has been a pioneering product architect for more than 20 years, creating skin care, body products, ingestibles and holistic health treatments that inspire individuals on their path to well-being. “In a city like New York where everyone is in constant motion,” says Close, “I wanted to create a place where people can slow down, relax and experience the healing arts, as well as learn how to integrate healing rituals and remedies into their daily routines.”
