MRNY is an independent website created by long-term New Yorkers, Mark Thompson and Robert Doyle (aka MRNY), both of whom photograph wherever they travel.
A member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) and New York Travel Writers (NYTW), Mark is a journalist, editor, and photographer whose work is published in various periodicals. The author of two novels—Wolfchild (2000), My Hawaiian Penthouse (2007)—Mark is the recipient of fellowships at The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and Blue Mountain Center. He holds a Ph.D. in American Studies.
Robert is the producer of the documentary “We Are All Children of God” (1999).
The cameras used for photography on MRNY are Canon EOS M50 and Canon G16.
